So the other day I was getting the kids and myself ready to go a BBQ with some great friends and Michael comes home to tell about Russell M. Nelson coming to our church to talk to a few Medical students and give some advice to what we are about to get ourselves into and what we should expect.
Russell M. Nelsen was a Heart Surgeon so I knew that we really need to listen to see what he had to say as a Dr. as well as a church leader, it is not every day that a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles come to speak to us, so we unfortunately had to ditch the BBQ and take advantage of this wonderful opportunity!!
So it was for families and once we got there I quickly realized that we should have left the kids at home ;) I didn't get as much out of it as I would have hoped but Michael did so at least one of did :) My first impression of this amazing man was how humble he was. He was just another old man making jokes and telling us stories that just had us all laughing!!
Afterward we had to opportunity to say a quick hello and shake his hand! The girls got so excited! We were waiting our turn and when we are up all that came of of their mouths were....I have a Barbie Secret :) He laughed and humored them a bit on the Barbie subject and we moved on but the girls loved him!! We were so fortunate to have been able to listen to him speak and take in all the wonderful advice that he had to share. This will be a moment that we will always cherish and I know my girls will too :)

JAKE letters for his room!!
I loved how these turned out!!!! I have had this project going on for about 6 months!! Does anybody start one project and then get too excited to start another one that you just drop what you are working on and start something new?? Well...I do that all the time and it drives Michael nuts ;) Anyways....it is finally done and it really completes his room!!

More of Gracie's visit!!!
Look at Ava's awesome coloring skills!! I am impressed!! I have a little artist on my hands:) She went out of the lines a little but it looks pretty good!
Gracie's shirt!! Gracie and Makayla got to antsy to wear theirs so they didn't want to finish!! And you can tell on both of theirs that I had to help and add a little color ;)
I think this is were they had the most fun!!! Play-dough while wearing their princess shirts, what more could you ask for :)
Makayla is trying to give me a scary face.....does this sweet face scare anybody.....nope didn't think so ;)
Gracie came to stay with us!!!!!!!
So my best friend Julianne was admitted into the hospital 3 weeks ago because her placenta is slowly ripping off and she was only 24 weeks along!!! She is hanging in there but you can just imagine all the stress she must be under!! We are just hoping that little miss Layla can hang in there a few more weeks!!
We were lucky to have her other little girl, Gracie, come up and stay with us!! She is so smart and sweet and is just a blast to have around!! She amazes me at how smart this girl is, so just turned 2 a couple of days ago and she has known her ABC's for a while, what a smartie :) Anyways, we have been having lots of fun while she has been with us we are sad that she has to leave us but I bet she is so excited to see her daddy :) Speaking of daddy...can you imagine what he must be going through too?? I has got to be mamma and daddy and we all know how hard each of those responsibilities are but to combine them.....WOW!!! Praying for this sweet family!!
So in these pictures we made smoothies, which Gracie loved!! We also played on the playground for only about 3 or 4 hours...lol ;) We also colored Princess shirts and we were of course watching Beauty and the Beast while we colored!! And we also had a blast playing with play-dough, but those pics are coming later! We went on a scavenger hunt outside and we found lots of fun things, you should have seen the girls...they had their magnifying glass looking at everything, it was a lot of fun and you could tell the girls really enjoyed it. I was bummed cause i forgot my camera on our walk but I have great pictures in my head :)
Over all, I think we had a pretty great time and I hope that Gracie will want to come back and see us soon!! Thanks for coming sweetie and you will be one missed little girl around here ;) Love you Gracie!!!!!!!
This was really funny in person....they played this little game...Gracie would talk to Jake and Jake would take out her binki and then put it back and that repeated over and over and over again!! Again...really funny in person!!
They were such good little buddies!!! Makayla has found a new friend...we will add her to the other 2...lol!!! If you know Makayla, you will know what I am talking about..hehe :)
She was calling Jaker over with this stick like he was a puppy, haha!! And yes...Jaker totally fell for it,he crawled to her every time :)
