Wow...I am so overwhelmed with this home sick feeling tonight!! I just want to let a tear or two but I just think I will look crazy :)
I was thinking a lot about when I grew up in Georgia, and in lots of ways I would love to forget some things...don't we all...but the good definitely out weighed the bad. See...the wonderful thing about the south is that even if you take away all of the wonderful people and their sweet hospitality, the feeling of just being there makes me all giddy inside!! I absolutely love that feeling and the person I turn into when I am back home! Michael has a hard time understanding that, he says that I have lived in Utah for about 8 years now so I should call this place home ;) but honestly my heart and soul will always be in the south :)
I couldn't help but look back on my childhood today as I was doing the dishes. It was very bitter sweet for my family, but I think a lot of our experiences that we went through strengthened us in some way or another, big or small. I look back all the time and just wish that I could go out our the pond and go fishing or the times that Chelsea and I would go out front and build the best fort ever. I miss the feeling of our ward. I miss the lemonade stands that Chelsea and I would make and the fact that we only made a profit because of our sweet neighbor:) I miss when Michael would chase me around the house with craw fish. I miss the tomboy I used to be. I miss how I was never afraid of anything and how much of a dare devil I was. I miss the relationships with the missionaries we had. I miss having to get in the bathtubs every time there was a tornado warning. I miss all the friendly faces I would see everyday and all the sweet spirits in my life. I could honestly go on forever about what I miss about Georgia but most of all, I am so thankful for the relationship that I have with my family. I think the way we were brought up, made us the wonderful family we are today. We may have stupid issues with someone at some point but over all each and everyone in my family will drop everything in that moment to help out another sibling and I am so blessed to have that comfort in my life, and as hard as life was and as much as we went through, it was the happiest time of my life and I am so thankful for those memories. I love my family!!!

Hippity Hoppity Easter Sign!!
So, I was down in Cedar City with my wonderful sister in law and we made these!! I love how they turned out!! I have been wanting this since I was married but never managed to have any time, so almost 5 years later I made one ;) We made a sign that spells Spring and I will post those pics later, super cute as well!!
hey, look what I made Art Board!!
I have seen these around and have been wanting to make some for the kiddos!! I am loving these so much and was completely shocked at how easy these were to make!!
I went to Home Depot and bought an 8in. width board for about $10 bucks BUT I will be able to make 3 signs so you are looking at about $3.30 for the board! I bought white, pink and green paint which all together it cost around $1.50! The vinyl about another $.50! The most expensive part was the clamps on the bottom to hold the art work. You need 5 of them and they come 2 to a pack, so you will need 3 packs. I went to Robert's Crafts (any craft store will have some version of them) and they were $2.99 a pack. They go on sale every now and then but I really wanted them so I just paid for them so, for me, it was another $9, but you can get them o sale if you plan it out. So this board cost me $14 and I am so happy with how it turned out and so are my kids!! Now I just have 2 more to make :)

My kids door signs!!
K, so I have been wanting to put signs on my kids door for a while now but have just lacked the time!! So, after Makayla and Jaker Boy went to bed last night, Ava and I had a lot of fun making these door signs for their bedrooms. They are very simply but that is what I like ;)
Jake's sign cost me ruffly $1.50!!! I got the wooden circle at Hobby Lobby. It was $.99 but it was 50% off so I got it for a whopping $.50!! The scrapbook paper was another $.50 and the vinyl was about another $.50!! I just mod podged the paper on the wood sign and cut the vinyl and placed it where I wanted it then took a distressed ink pad and took it around the edges and voila it is done!! So simply but cute!!
I really like this one!! This one cost me about $2.70!! I bought the wood plaque at Hobby Lobby for only $2.00! It was on sale, of course!! I painted it pink which was about $.20! Then took a cutip and white paint and dotted it all up :) Then finally the vinyl which cost about $.50! The girls saw this and said...."Oh my goodness mommy, it is beautiful, I love it!!" Ahh....just the reaction I wanted!!
