This was a crazy time!! Kerry's family and Sarah's family came out to Utah for a little family get together. The only one's missing are Sue's family and they were very much missed!! The cousins really had lots of fun and hope we can do it again soon!!

My Diaper Cake!!

This was my first diaper cake, and I loved how it turned out!! This was for Whitney's, my sister in law, baby shower!! I started selling these after I made this one!!

I really need today to be over!!

Today is probably one of the worst days I have had since I was prego with Jake. I woke up last night just throwing up sooooo much! It was not pretty. Michael would normally help but he is never home these days, he is always gone studying or he is at clinic, that is a very bitter subject for me right now and I won't go into that one ;) Anyways, I am sad cause I know that today the TV will most likely be babysitting my girls and I have no idea what to do with Jaker boy, he is everywhere now!! Hopefully he can sense that I am so sick and he will give me a break, fat chance, but that is what I am going to tell myself :) Anyways, wish me luck!!

Kylee is here!!!

So, this beautiful girl is Kylee... aka...
Sister Erickson!!! She was a missionary in Gallup!! We would always have her over for some yummy food and she was seriously the BEST, ahhh, I just love her!! Anyways, now that she is off her mission she is studying photography up at BYU Idaho! She said she was coming to Salt Lake and I got so giddy!!!! When she came we went out to lunch with her and her super cute roommate. Then she decided to spend the night at my house and we went out for a girls night and went and saw that movie, what was it.....oh, the one with Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler.....I can't remember the name but it was probably one of the best movies ever, too funny!! Oh it was Just Go With It! Then she was sweet enough to come to church with us the next day!! We had so much fun catching up and I hope to see her soon!!! Love you Kylee

My goodness..it is the Ruby's crew!!

I ran across these pictures today!! I used to work with these pretty ladies at Ruby Tuesdays when I lived in St. George, Utah. We had some great times. So, it is sad, I just heard that due to the economy they are shutting the door to Ruby's, I still had friends that worked there! My prayers are with you as you are trying to find a new job!! Such good times and so many memories there!!

For Christmas, my wonderful sister made me and the girls these absolutely adorable aprons, are they cute or what?!! Makayla was not in the mood to show hers off but me and Ava sure were!!! Thanks Whitney, you are so awesome and I love you so much!!

Cinnamon Graham Crackers!!

So, Jake has recently discovered cinnamon graham crackers and I have never seen him more excited to get something!! He can here me opening them in the kitchen and he started laughing and screaming, he is so excited!! I think we found our bargaining chip!!

Me and Michael were having pillow talk last night and we were just looking back over this past year and we just realized last night at how many blessings that have been just pouring our way!! I just am so grateful for it all and I am soooooo grateful for a husband that loves us SOOO much and for all the hard work he puts into this family!!! I am also so thankful for everyone that has helped us get to where we are today, I think everyone we know has helped us in one way or another, big or small, so thank you!!

K, so my girls were so hard to get to eat baby food so I was not counting on Jaker boy liking it at all, but he has totally surprised me, he eats this gross stuff!! He of course likes real food too but it is really convenient sometimes to do this. His favorite is definitely sweet potatoes and mixed fruit and oatmeal, so yay...he is my easy baby!!

Book slings!!

So, to start off I want to say that the whole idea of this was because we live in such a small apartment, thanks student housing ;) We are a family of five and we live in a 900 sq. ft. apartment!! So, as you can imagine, we are very limited on space. Anyways, I was decorating Jake's room and I was looking for something to put books in. A bookshelf was just out of the question cause that was would have been way to big. At the time I was actually thinking of one of those flat, three tiered wall book shelves, like you see in Doctor offices or schools, but they were like $80!! I am really glad I didn't cause these are soooo much cuter!! The kids love them cause they can see the front of the book instead of the end, so they know what they are getting!! I helped my sister make some and she cut her length in half, due to the place she wanted them, and they turned out just as cute!! Such a cute way to get organized :)

Refinishing my lamp!!

So I should have taken a picture of the lamp before I refinished it, but believe me, it was nothing pretty! The base of the lamp was an ugly silver color so I spray painted it with a bronze color and I love it!! I had this Amy Butler fabric (I love her stuff) left over from when I made Jake's crib skirt and thought it would pull his room together if I used it on the lamp too. The room looks great, I am really happy with the turn out!!

The new dress I made for the girls!!

So, about a month ago I decided that I wanted to start experimenting in clothes and what better way than little girls dresses for my girls! So I started out with a simple but very cute pillow case dress, I have no idea why I was so intimidated by making one of those, they were so stinkin easy!! So I thought I would adventure out a bit and try something on the next level, so I was doing some research and I ran across a few ideas but nothing I was too excited over, so......I decided to make my own pattern!! Of course I looked at other patterns to figure out the bones of the dress. I love the frilly froo-froo dresses and I love the sleeves on here, I thought they were a nice touch! I have to say that now I am addicted and I can not wait to start making more and trying new ones, I already have another one in the making. It is not my own pattern so I can't take credit there but it is really cute, I will post pics when I am done!!

What is wrong with me?!!!

WOW!!! I have no idea what is going on with me today! I am so emotional these days, I see all these women having all these babies and I get sooooo jealous! It is absolutely crazy that I want to have another baby but I totally do! As weird as it sounds, I really miss labor, even as crappy as it can be, the end result is absolutely wonderful!! I really need to stop thinking this way or I am going to end up with 4 kiddos under a 900 sq. ft. apartment..lol :) I just have to think of the toddler years... we all know how peaceful those days can be, right?? Yeah, I think I can wait ;)

Wow, my girls must be really board!!

So, I walk in the room to find this....the girls thought it would be cool to take their chocolate cereal and their Monsters Inc. book and place one cereal on each window in the book they could find....then they would eat it like the monsters do!! I think we need spring to get here so my poor girls can go have some real fun :)

Look what I found in my diaper box!!

So I here Jake laughing so hard and I run in there to see what in the world he was laughing at and I find him in his diaper box! Ava thought it was funny to put him in there. I asked her what in the world are you doing?.....She said, I am strolling him around like you do mom! I guess she was pretending that the box was a stroller cause I have never put Jaker boy in a box just for the fun of it to "stroll" him ;) Ava, what an imagination you have!!

The girls fall recital!

So these are not great pictures by any means but there were so many distractions that this was the best I could get. It didn't help that Makayla did not feel like having her picture taken either, she kept running from the camera ;) Their recital was too cute, I will have to upload a video soon. Ava did so great. It was funny, she was trying so hard to get it right and not mess up that she had a hard time remembering to smile, but that is ok cause she remembered all of her moves :) Makayla on the other hand got up on stage and just froze, but she looked beautiful doing it ;) Loves me some of my girls!!
